The owners of this shallow rear garden wanted to create a contemporary family space for outdoor dining and play. A key requirement of the garden design was to include an easy-to-maintain water feature that would look great all year round. To reduce maintenance, artificial lawn was installed providing a mud-free play area for the children and a relaxing expanse of green.
Raised beds were created to take advantage of the change in ground levels. These were clad in the same paving material as the main patio to create a seamless look and feel. The main focal point in the garden is a low-level cascading water wall complete with beach pebbles creating a child-friendly water feature for all to enjoy. A blend of evergreen and architectural planting complement the hard landscaping to create a low-maintenance contemporary family garden.
