Front garden kerb appeal
Front gardens are the first impression for visitors and passers-by alike yet so often they are the second class citizen to the rear garden. Often uninspiring, unloved or worse still, completely paved over to make room for vehicle parking today's front gardens are often a lost horticultural cause.
Parking, especially in the urban environment, has put increased pressure on our front gardens. Many have become nothing more than block-paved forecourts with little room for more than a handful of plants, let alone something worthy of being called a garden. Isn't there a way to have a garden and space for parking?
Well, the short answer is yes. We're not suggesting that you forego being able to park your car (or cars!) on your property, but that consideration is given to integrate parking with the rest of the garden to create a harmonious and practical garden and driveway. A well-thought out front garden design should deliver both the kerb appeal that adds kerb appeal while also allowing space for off-street parking (see examples below).
